I’m Nola Aronson from Advanced Audiology. Many people come to my office because they have tinnitus or ringing in their ears. I’ve been in this field for over 35 years, I’ve taken every class there is on tinnitus, and we still don’t have the cure for the problem but we have many different options that work for people. However, it is such a prevent problem that most of the time, if you do have a hearing loss at all, it is good to at least try a hearing aid because many times the hearing aid alone will help with the ringing in the ears. If you don’t have a hearing loss, there are other devices that teach you how to habituate or get used to the noise in your ears and be able to ignore it and not pay attention to it anymore.
