If you have PPPD, MdDS, vestibular migraine, other medically unexplained dizziness symptoms, or non-dizziness symptoms like tinnitus, hyperacusis or pain, you are likely dealing with feelings of LOSS and GRIEF. Even when you feel equipped to handle recovery and know you will emerge stronger on the other side, it is still important to work through the sadness you may feel over the loss of time and the loss of the previous “you” who did not have symptoms. Some of you may also have had additional difficult losses in your life that occurred before or during symptom onset. Since we need to deal with many aspects of the “stress bucket” to help reduce nervous system sensitivity and get you feeling better physically, the conversation is an important one. How do you deal with the loss and grief from having neural circuit symptoms?

In this conversation with Devorah Kur, we explore ways to move through grief and loss. Devorah emphasizes the importance of allowing yourself to feel and sit with grief, explaining why you cannot think your way out of it and reassuring us that grief is a universal experience we need not fear. She delves into how to process grief and reminds us grief is a part of us, it does not define all that we are. Devorah also shares her experiences with various healing modalities, including logotherapy, reflexology, somatic experiencing, and Internal Family Systems (IFS). She reflects on her own journey through grief and what ultimately led her to this line of work. What does it mean to achieve post-traumatic growth, and how can we reach it? Listen in to find out.

Devorah Kur is a Logotherapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP), IFS Level 3 practitioner, Reflexologist, and Bereavement Counselor who is dedicated to supporting individuals through illness, challenges, grief, and trauma.
